Yesterday evening I got together with my closest friends and we had a bonfire to celebrate the end of school, and we burned our school work, school books, and the boys burned their ties!

It was so exciting getting all of my work out and sorting it, getting rid of pretty much every sheet and dumping my work into huge bags. It was not sad or emotional for me at all, just an amazing feeling knowing that I would never have to to certain subjects such as additional physics, german, and my performing arts coursework ever again in my life! It put me in the best mood! I was completely shocked at just how much work I had completed in the past 8 months during year 11, as it was a huge amount. Especially the revision!

We all turned up at my friends house and made a huge pile of our books, worksheets, revision, e.t.c at the back of the garden. We then started to burn them, sheet by sheet. From P.E folders to year 7 maths exams, we had them all, and they were all going to be set alight! It was such an amazing feeling and a great thing to do with my friends! I definitely recommend doing this with your friends, or even at home with your family. You can stand around the fire and talk as you burn the sheets, and you don't have to worry about getting cold because the fire keeps you warm all night. One thing I would suggest though is to not burn the plastic folders the sheets are in, as this can ruin the fire or make a mess! Trust me when I sat this! haha!
What did/will you do to celebrate leaving school?
Have you had a bonfire before?
Thanks for reading my blog!
