End Of An Era; Burning Books

Yesterday evening I got together with my closest friends and we had a bonfire to celebrate the end of school, and we burned our school work, school books, and the boys burned their ties!

It was so exciting getting all of my work out and sorting it, getting rid of pretty much every sheet and dumping my work into huge bags. It was not sad or emotional for me at all, just an amazing feeling knowing that I would never have to to certain subjects such as additional physics, german, and my performing arts coursework ever again in my life! It put me in the best mood! I was completely shocked at just how much work I had completed in the past 8 months during year 11, as it was a huge amount. Especially the revision!

We all turned up at my friends house and made a huge pile of our books, worksheets, revision, e.t.c at the back of the garden. We then started to burn them, sheet by sheet. From P.E folders to year 7 maths exams, we had them all, and they were all going to be set alight! It was such an amazing feeling and a great thing to do with my friends! I definitely recommend doing this with your friends, or even at home with your family. You can stand around the fire and talk as you burn the sheets, and you don't have to worry about getting cold because the fire keeps you warm all night. One thing I would suggest though is to not burn the plastic folders the sheets are in, as this can ruin the fire or make a mess! Trust me when I sat this! haha!

What did/will you do to celebrate leaving school?

Have you had a bonfire before?

Thanks for reading my blog!

OOTN; Cheerleader Dress Up

On friday, to celebrate the end of our exams as this was the day of our final exam, my friend ellen had a film themed dress up party. It was so much fun and the fact that pretty much everyone who attended made an effort was so nice to see! It was so funny and I had such a great time.

I went as a cheerleader matching with my 2 best friends Georgia and Charlotte, we went as cheerleaders like the ones in high school musical which is why we chose to go with a red dress.
I bought the dress from ebay, you can find the dress here. It was so cheap as it only cost me £12! And this also included some pom poms which were really well designed with small loops to put your fingers through. This ensured that you still had your hands free to hold a drink or your phone. I also loved the design of the dress, I thought the shape was very flattering and was a tight fit, however the dress was so short! I would definitely recommend wearing shorts underneath to stop your cheeks flashing to everyone! I just wore some short Gilly Hicks shorts which I bought a few years ago, and they were fine. On my feet I wore my glitter/sequin embellished converse which I adore wearing as the sequins are white and so reflect the colour being worn and so therefore match with any outfit!

What would you wear to a fancy dress party?

Have you been to a party recently?

Thanks for reading!

New Beginnings

I guess I should begin by saying hi. I'm Alice and I have blogged before but I just wanted to start again a fresh new blog where I only post things that I feel are at a good enough quality. I shall add some of my previous posts back onto this blog perhaps, but only the ones which I believe are good enough.

Anyway my first post is about new beginnings.
Recently I have finally left school and all of my exams. I feel so stress free and relaxed now knowing that I have nearly 3 months off to enjoy my summer until I go back to doing work again. I am so scared knowing that I have to start again in a new sixth form or college but it will be an exciting experience for me... I hope!

I had an amazing time at my secondary school and as much as I moaned about it, I enjoyed every second and wouldn't change the past 5 years. It helped me grow up, mature and be a more confident person. As you can tell from the picture our year is incredibly small, and it was like a small family. As much as I detest some people in my year, I will miss a lot of people!

Also due to certain circumstances recently, I have definitely changed as a person and matured a lot. It has made me so grateful for everyone who I have in my life! I am in the best place right now and I cannot wait for the future!

Sorry if this seemed like a depressing post but I needed to 'clear the air' in a sense and start a fresh with my blog. Since I no longer have to revise, I am going to try and blog as often as I can now, and get into the blogging community more! If you have any requests for posts, opinions on my blog, links to your own blog or anything else then please tell me in the comments below!

More posts coming soon!
