Birthday Celebrations

I had such a lovely 16th birthday with both my family and friends!

Firstly I went for a meal with my friends which was so nice and it gave us a chance to catch up since it was the summer holidays.

I then had a birthday dinner at my house the day before my birthday with all my family! I had my boyfriend cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, my great aunt and uncle over. We also had my mums cousins come and stay for 2 nights as they live in Brighton. It was so nice to see them as it is a rare occasion when we do. My sister made me a wonderful cake made of sweets as me and my mum had a lot of trouble trying to order me one as the shop we were originally going to order it from weren't taking in orders because it was too hot! Ridiculous! We had a lovely buffet type meal where mum cooked me all my favourite foods like gammon, curly fries, sausage rolls and homemade bread. It was lovely as we sat outside in the sun thanks to the lovely weather! I opened all my presents as I had a day planned already on my actual birthday, it was very scary doing it in front of people but at the same time it was nice to have everyone together as a family.  My sister has a tradition where she buys a ridiculous present for each person's birthday, and she bought me... A play tunnel. Yes you read right, a play tunnel! As strange as it was, it brought a lot of laughs- especially after a few drinks when nearly everyone had been through it including my grandad!

On my actual birthday I woke up quite early and opened my surprise presents from mum and dad, as I did not know I was getting anything else from them as I got a MK watch! I then got ready for the day and made my way to Thorpe park for the day! On the way in the car I opened my present from my best friend, and she bought me a pandora bracelet with a charm on it that said 'best friends'. If was so cute I was on the verge of crying! We had a lovely day in Thorpe park and I faced my fears and went on nemesis inferno and colossus! Haha! I even got an embarrassing birthday shoutout and song on the banana ride!

All in all I had an amazing birthday!
How do you celebrate?

Prom ♥

Prom was one of the most amazing days of my life. In fact I don't know if I preferred getting glammed up or the actual prom itself, but I just thoroughly enjoyed the whole day!

Hair
I had my hair done at the my local hairdressers where I usually go to get my hair done. She cuts all of my families hair and knows my hair type very well, so I trusted her to make sure my hair looked amazing. I did absolutely love it and I want to thank her! I went for a simple side curled look with it swooped to the side and pinned at the back with a small bit of detailing. I loved it.

Makeup
I went for a very natural look with a small amount of mascara and a pink lip. My best friends mum knows a makeup artist and so she did my makeup for me. I loved it! She shaped my eyebrows for me very well too!.

Nails
You can't see my nails very well in many of the pictures, but I had silver shellac nails done especially for the event at my local salon which I normally go to. I loved them, and they lasted for ages after too which was great!

The Dress
My dress was a carribean blue long dress which had a transparent net back that was incrusted with silver detailing trailing down the back. It was one shouldered and the silver and blue detailing was all around the top half of the front of the dress too. I absolutely loved it, and I bought it in a local boutique that sold wedding and prom dresses, however unfortunately this shop has not shut down. The dress came to around £280, however this did not include fittings which was an excess price! I paired it with a clutch silver beaded incrusted from the same boutique, silver glitter heels from Linzi, a blue glitter wrap around bracelet from a small online store, and some blue and silver earings from Dorothy Perkins I believe.

Prom was absolutely amazing and I hope everyone else who had a prom this year had an amazing time just as i did! Everyone looked so smart and pretty!
